Rebuilders is a support network for widows and widowers in the Vancouver/ Lower Mainland, BC area.
Are you widowed? Do you sometimes feel like a “5th wheel” when you are in a social setting? Would you like to meet others who are in a similar situation?
We are a group of widows/widowers in the Vancouver/Lower Mainland who meet on a monthly basis for a social event. Since we all have experienced the loss of a spouse we have much in common and therefore can relate to each other in a way that is not always possible with those who have not experienced this type of grief.
So far our activities have included a trip to Leavenworth for the Christmas lights, bus trip to Leavenworth for live performance of The Sound of Music, live theatre, games nights, Minter Gardens and picnic, trip to LaConnor for the tulip festival, picnics, barbecues, potlucks, etc.

Saturday, June 5th- The hilarious Drama-- Chickens-- at the MEI in Clearbrook, BC. Lunch at 11:45 am at Apple Betty's Buffet at 32500 South Fraser Way, Abbotsford. This is the southeast corner of the parking lot where the Swiss Cahlet, Safeway and Staples are but farther in. Cost of the Buffet is $9.50+GST/ Seniors $8.75 plus GST. Tickets for Chickens are $12.00
CHICKENS
If its possible for life to imitate art, is it also possible for life to imitate the chicken coop?Facing bankrupcy and the loss of his prairie farm, Pal risks nearly everything, including his family, by focusing on raising a flock of exotic chickens. Meanwhile, in the barnyard, where life in the coop strangely paralells the plight of their human characters, a gaggle of hens and roosters scratch out a living producing eggs and contemplating the big questions of poultry life. Written by one of Canada's up and coming major playwrights, this is a hilarious musical-comedy that will have you laughing and pondering all night long.
