New Hope Retreat Information

We hold our retreats every spring. Our next retreat is scheduled for April 23-24, 2010. A one day retreat experience, (Saturday 8:30am - 5:00pm) with the addition of an evening event Friday 7:00pm to 9:00pm

New Hope Retreat offers:

A time of refreshment, encouragement and support for women and men who have been widowed ,either recently or for a space of time. We offer a safe place to rest and be cared for, to share common stories and learn from one another. Here you can find help emotionally and spiritually, with practical advice that will assist you on your grief journey. We also provide One-on-one support upon request.

Retreat and Workshop Information:

Our format includes a Friday evening concert and special speaker followed by refreshments, with time to relax and get to know each other. The Saturday workshops, practical and specifically relevant to the needs of the widowed, are presented by those who havw themselves been on the journey. The day concludes with a Candle Lighting Ceremony of Remembrance.

Our setting is the beautiful Okanagan Valley where we will gather at Emmanuel Baptist Church: 3412 15th Ave. (Mission Hill) in Vernon, BC Retreat Costs: $50.00 (early reg. by March 15,2010) $65.00 late registration.

Family Information

For Families: We are inviting children of widowed parents. We will have limited space for young children ages 5-10 for Saturday only.Also included is option for childcare upon request for the Friday evening event. Cost for Saturday is $35.00 for one child and $20.00 for each additional child.Call us for more information.

We want to continue to offer a retreat setting that is comfortable for everyone. We will provide excellent, qualified supervised care for the kids, which includes finding support in their own program. Sessions are separate for children and adults.
