New Hope Retreat Information
We hold our retreats every spring. Our next retreat is will be a day retreat (plus a Friday evening concert) April 27th and 28th,2012 at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Vernon. Overnight accomodation is not provided but if you have a need , speak with the office staff and some assistance/ information might be available.
New Hope Retreat offers:
A time of refreshment, encouragement and support for women and men who have been widowed ,either recently or for a space of time. We offer a safe place to rest and be cared for, to share common stories and learn from one another. Here you can find help emotionally and spiritually, with practical advice that will assist you on your grief journey. We also provide One-on-one support upon request.
Retreat and Workshop Information:
Our format includes a Friday evening concert and special speaker followed by refreshments, with time to relax and get to know each other. The Saturday workshops, practical and specifically relevant to the needs of the widowed, are presented by those who have themselves been on the journey. Saturday afternoon will end with a Candlelight Remembrance Ceremony. With the Kelowna Airport nearby, we can pick you up if you are flying in for the Weekend.
Retreat Costs:
Early registration (by April1,2012) $60
Late registration (afterApril1) $75
Registration includes: Saturday Lunch,snacks and beverages, registration packages and handouts, three workshops, one year membership to New Hope , which includes a year's subscription to our bimonthly newsletter.

Family Information
For Families:This year, we are able to offer the program for the children that we have offered in the past, under the capable leadership of Val Johnson, an experienced educator..

We want to continue to offer a retreat setting that is comfortable for everyone. We will provide excellent, qualified supervised care for the kids, which includes finding support in their own program. Sessions are separate for children and adults.
