In Memory 2002
- Phillip Conklin, age 18
In memory of Phillip Conklin, who died at the young age of 18. He died April 13, 2002. He and his friend were online trying to find a homemade recipe for ecstasy. They succeeded in finding one and decided to try it out. Phillip took too much and was found to late. He got rushed to the hospital and the Doctors said that he was officially brain-dead. It was hard for my friend (Jessy) and I to realize that he was basically dead. The Doctors ran some tests to see if he had any brain activity, but he didn't. Phillip was to young to die. He shouldn't have... he still had a whole lifetime ahead of him. He was so nice and caring. He had a great sense of humor and he was really cute. If he knew that the drug was to strong maybe he'd still be here. So in honor of Phillip I want to help prevent any other teens from doing something like this. "Phillip- I didn't really know you well, but wha t I did know of you I liked. You were Jessy's idol. I miss you and hope you are having fun in Heaven!! ~Love and miss you! Kira and Jessy"
And a memory from Phillip Conklins sister-in-law: "Phillip died of a drug over dose on April 13 2002 at Bingomton Genral I thought of Phillip not as my brother inlaw but as my brother he was a good kid he just got miked up with the wrong pepole and he was depresed but he didnt show it maybe if he showed it and talked to someone then maybe he could have been saved Phillip left behind his nefues and i just want to let Phillip know that thay ask about him all the time thay even named a star after him so I just want to say I miss and love you Phillip IN LOVING MEMORY PHILLIP, LOVE HEATHER, COLLIN, AND HUNTER"
